WRI is a private, non-profit agency founded in 1987. The Institute's founders and staff are
professionals in the fields of education, psychology, social work, vocational education, and other related fields
engaged in basic and applied research, model program development, evaluation and training.
Support for WRI projects is derived from grants and contracts
from federal, state and local agencies, and private foundations.

Developing and evaluating programs for students who are not successful in school, including instructional
procedures to enhance learning.

Organizing topical conferences in education and the human services for professionals, paraprofessionals and parents
