ABOUT PROJECT STAFF:
Angela
Notari-Syverson is the lead author of Ladders
to Literacy: A Preschool Activity Book. Currently she is
the Project Director of the Ladders to Literacy Outreach Project. Dr.
Notari-Syverson received her Ph.D. in Early Childhood Special Education from the
University of Oregon. She has over 20 years of experience in special education,
language, and early literacy intervention. She has served in a variety of professional
capacities in both the United States and in Switzerland where she studied directly
with Jean Piaget at the University of Geneva. Dr. Notari-Syverson has taught classes,
conducted research, and published chapters and articles dealing with early intervention
assessment and curriculum issues, as well the development of early language and
literacy in young children with disabilities.
Young
Sook Lim received her
Ph.D. at the University of Washington
in Bilingual Education. She
holds a Master's degree in teaching
English as a second language.
She has experience in teaching
English as a Second Language
and working with immigrant and
refugee organizations.
Judy Challoner
has a Master's Degree in Educational
Psychology from the University
of Washington, and over 10 years
of experience in working with
young children with disabilities
and their families. She has
also taught courses in Early
Intervention and supervised
practica.
