The Reading Partners Group is a research team within the Washington Research Institute dedicated to the study of reading interventions and assessment. One major line of research has been interventions that can be used effectively by paraeducators to supplement early reading instruction for students at risk for reading problems. More recent studies have addressed the efficacy of supplemental fluency and vocabulary instruction. Since 1993, our work has been funded by a series of grants from the Institute of Education Sciences, U.S. Department of Education.
